The short version of the Philippines, with nothing padded. Two days in the south of Cebu for canyoneering and the sardine shoal, two on Coron for the lagoons, and a last night in Manila before the flight home. Six days is tight for this country, so this one picks two places and does them properly rather than four badly.
Built by our planners and made yours: change the dates, the pace, the hotels, or the whole shape of it. Nothing here is fixed except the thinking behind it.
The route, broken down.
Day 01Land in Cebu, drive south to Moalboal
Arrive at Mactan-Cebu and head straight down the coast, about three hours south, so the first full day starts where the water is.
Day 02Kawasan canyoneering, then the sardine shoal
Jump, swim and scramble down the Kawasan gorge in the morning, then snorkel straight off the Moalboal shore into the sardine run before driving back up to Cebu for the night.
Day 03Fly to Coron, the reef and the hot springs
A short morning hop to Busuanga, then the afternoon is yours for the Maquinit hot springs and the Siete Pecados reef.
Day 04Island hopping the Coron lagoons
The full day on the water: Kayangan, Twin Lagoon and the reefs between them, with lunch cooked on the boat.
Day 05Fly to Manila
Out of Busuanga and into the city, with the rest of the day free before the flight home.
